MORITA ROOT ZX: Root Canal Length Measuring Device
 Fully Automatic
ROOT ZX is a fully automatic apex locator which provides extremelyaccurate measurements of the canal length in all canal conditions.
The action of the meter in the large, easy-to-read display correspondsexactly to the tactile sensation of using the file. The advanced microprocessor
ensures precise readings even in the presence of sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, saliva, blood or pulp.
High Precision
Accurate measurement is determined in calculating the canal impedance by the ratio of 2 different frequencies (400Hz and 8kHz). The accuracy of the measurement is not effected by the presence or absence of blood, or other discharges inside the canal. The ROOT ZX is accurate even when the canal is filled with electrolytes such as sodium hypochlorites (Neocleaner, Antihormine, Hypochlorite), saline, tap water, or hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).
The accuracy is not significant effected by the type of tooth, the size of the canal, or the size of the file or reamer.
 Display and Audible Alarms
The large color display is easy to read and understand at a glance. It correspondents exactly to the file position with respect to the apex. It provides both precision and high contrast. The approximate working length for canal enlargement can be adjusted as desired.
The operator can focus on the patient rather than the display with three pleasant sounding alarms. Three different alarms provide file position reference. The alarm volume is adjustable. Earphone shuts off internal speaker to reduce patient stress.
 No Zero-adjustment
It is not necessary to set the device on zero before measuring each individual canal. The microprocessor calibrates ROOT ZX automatically, preparing it ready to use immediately after turning on the main switch. No set up is required. No resetting is required for multiple measurements. Automatic calibration insures accuracy and eliminates the effects of changes in temperature, moisture, etc. inside the canal even during measurement.
Reliable Infection Control
The ROOT ZX's case is easy to clean because all irregularities have been eliminated by the use of flat switches etc. Booth the file holder and the contrary electrode can be autoclaved.
 Slim, Lightweight File Holder
The file holder's slim shape allows it to be easily manipulated inside the oral cavity. The file holder is usually clipped to the reamer, but a measurement can also be made by simply touching the holder to the file or reamer. The contacts of the holder are made of extremely durable, corrosion resistant metal.
